In last Sunday's sermon we saw in John 12 that God will glorify His Name. And we saw that God gets the glory when we obey His will, just like Jesus when he pondered the cross, "But for this purpose I have come to this hour. Father glorify your name." God has glorified it in the death and resurrection of his Son, the Son of Man, the Savior of all who will believe. The Gospel is Good News! Christ came to save sinners and sanctify the saved. May we pursue our joy in Christ, because when we do, we glorify God. To obey is to believe and to believe is to obey. God is truly most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.
"The Gospel of Jesus Christ confronts and challenges the modern world with the statement that it alone has the answer to all man's questions and the solution to all his problems. In a world that is seeking a way out of its tragedy and its troubles, the Gospel announces that the solution is already available." – Dr. D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones.
Amen. Looking forward to this Sunday in John 12 where we will look at the crowds' question to Jesus, "Who is this Son of Man?" Hope to see you here. 9:15am for Sunday School and 10:30am for Christ-centered Worship. All for the glory of His Name!
